Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla here on Wednesday congratulated US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on winning his country's presidential poll.
"As we have expected and predicted Obama's victory, we have to congratulate him," Kalla said at the vice presidential palace here on Wednesday. The vice president said Obama's landslide and surprising victory in the US presidential election had actually been predicted by people around the world but what had not been expected was the wide margin by which he won the votes.

Denpasar - Two-way trade between Indonesia and Spain reaches more than 2.1 billion euros per annum, suggesting that the two nations have close trade ties, an envoy said.
"The figure shows that the two countries have good trade relations," Indonesian Ambassador to Spain Slamet Santoso Mustafa said after accompanying a number of Spanish businessmen at a meeting with Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika here on Friday.
